• Before the school year begins, please log in to PowerSchool and ParentSquare to check that all information is correct: 
• In PowerSchool please review your child’s Student Contact Information and make any necessary updates. Be sure all parent and caregiver contact information is included and accurate, including email addresses and phone numbers for all listed family members. Contact Eddy Kim for assistance (kime@glencoeschools.org)
• Parents should log in to ParentSquare using the same email address used when registering their child in PowerSchool. This connects your ParentSquare account to your child, their teacher, and school communications.
• If you have never logged in, select Forgot Password to create a password and access your account. If you have multiple ParentSquare accounts for your own children, you can combine them by going to My Account > Combine Accounts. Contact Liz Marut for assistance (marute@glencoeschools.org)

District 35 Technology Guidelines

We developed our Technology Guidelines with input from teachers, staff, and families. These age-appropriate guardrails for South, West, and Central support students in using technology thoughtfully and responsibly.

Technology is a powerful tool for learning—but balance matters. Review the guidelines and consider how you can build similar healthy habits at home.

Walk, Bike, and Roll to School

In coordination with the Glencoe Public Safety Department and the Sustainability Task Force, we offer designated routes for students to travel to school safely. 

Away for the Day

Glencoe School District 35 is recommitting to its existing policy aimed at boosting student engagement by minimizing digital distractions.

The Away for the Day initiative requires that all personal electronic devices, including cell phones and smartwatches, be stored in lockers during school hours, except when needed for medical reasons.

This policy, integral to the district’s mission of Growing Every Heart and Mind is designed to foster a focused learning environment free from the interruptions of digital devices.

“Reinforcing this initiative helps minimize distractions and allows our focus to remain on priority learning. We seek to foster classrooms where resilience, empathy, and authentic social interaction are the focus for student development,” explains Dr. Catherine Wang, Superintendent.

As the new school year begins, the district has prioritized clear expectations surrounding the renewed commitment to Away for the Day. Glencoe District 35 looks forward to reporting on the benefits of this initiative to the community at-large, ensuring that both students and parents understand and support the enhanced learning environment.
