Dear Parents and Community Members: 
As we welcome students and families to the 2026-2027 school year, we remain committed to what matters most: ensuring our schools are places where students feel safe and secure, connected to those around them, and able to focus fully on learning. 

At the heart of this work is the framework established through our Strategic Plan, which continues to guide how we support our students, build supportive learning environments, and engage with our families.

This year, we’re pleased to welcome two new Assistant Principals to our leadership team at Central School. Each administrator will attend to specific grade levels, increasing availability and helping to foster deeper connections throughout the school community. 

Continuing from last year, we support focused, engaged learning through our Away for the Day initiative that ensures classrooms are free from personal device distractions. At the same time, we recognize the importance of purposeful technology use in the classroom and will continue to provide opportunities for parents to learn and engage in conversations around technology and its impact on our children. 

We invite families and community members to join us throughout the school year by attending a parent engagement event, a Board of Education meeting, listening to our D35 On the Go podcasts, or reading our Weekly Newsletter. Our doors are open. Thank you for your continued partnership as we work together to support every learner and continue growing every heart and mind.
