Music in our Schools!

Throughout the school year music can be heard in our school hallways and classrooms.  Students are given musical experiences and opportunities beginning in kindergarten and continuing through eighth grade. Through the years, students have the opportunity to develop musical skills, knowledge, understanding, and an appreciation for the arts.

The goal of our music program is to allow each child to participate in a variety of music experiences, and through these experiences nurture a love and appreciation of music as a medium for expression, creative play and personal achievement.  Students develop an understanding, enjoyment and appreciation of music through both listening and performing.

We are celebrating the following performances and events in the coming weeks:

West School Music Week
December 3rd and 4th

West School Chorus Club Concert

6th Grade Dinner and Concert
Tuesday, December 18th at 5:45 p.m.
Central School Gymnasium

5th Grade Sharing Concert
Thursday, February 21st at 6:30 p.m.
