The health and safety of our students and staff is our top priority. Within the schools, we are sharing daily reminders with our students about proper handwashing practices. Across the schools, we have asked our teachers to share this informative handwashing video with our students. In addition, we share the following helpful reminders from the CDC:
Per the Center for Disease Control, the primary way for students and staff to avoid influenza, COVID-19, and other viruses is hand washing, covering coughs and sneezes, and staying home if they have symptoms and/or a fever. Our teachers are aware of the need to be flexible with students to make up work after an absence due to illness. We want to make it as easy as possible for families to make the decision to keep students home from school if they are not feeling well. If you have concerns about missed work due to illness, please contact your child’s teacher.
Here are a few resources and tips for talking with your child about the coronavirus:

If you need additional support to talk with your child, please reach out to your school social worker.
Thank you for working together to ensure healthy practices are in place across our schools and community.
