District 35 COVID-19 Metrics

To have an accurate picture of COVID-19 data affecting the Glencoe schools, the District must consider both local Glencoe data and a wider region around our area. The District team meets weekly to review the trends and consider the case rates in our schools. To most accurately capture the areas of our students, community, and staff we review Glencoe, New Trier Township, and Illinois Region 10.

Based on guidance from the Illinois Department of Public Health and epidemiological guidance, we are monitoring cases in our schools to:
- consider additional mitigation in specific locations in our schools
- consider changes in operational protocols to minimize risks
- consider increase in frequency of screening testing protocols in response to increasing case rates
- consider the need for enhanced cleaning in response to cases in a specific location

Additional review of the Cook County Department of Public Health review of metrics for Adaptive Pause will also occur.

Review Date: October 15, 2021

Additional operational considerations are also reviewed weekly. While considering the possibility of community transmission, we review active positive cases within our student and staff community. In addition, we consider the compliance with our safety protocols such as mask wearing and absences due to COVID-like symptoms. The ongoing supply of PPE and cleaning/disinfecting supplies is a critical consideration to ensure our school environment is prepared each day.

The following reflects the prior week of data and is updated each Friday.
