Special Sessions for the Board of Education

The Board of Education will hold the following meetings:

September 12, 2017
6:45 p.m. in the Board Conference Room, Central School
The Glencoe School District Board of Education will hold a closed session meeting for the purpose of discussing matters related to the employment and performance of specific certified employees of the school district, 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1), and matters related to the placement of individual students in special education programs and other matters relating to individual students, 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(10)

September 13, 2017
5:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. in Young Auditorium, Central School
The Glencoe School District Board of Education will hold a closed session meeting for the purpose of discussing matters related to self evaluation, practices and procedures, or professional ethics, while meeting with a representative of Illinois Association of School Boards, 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(16)

Mandatory Board Member Training

Board members in office on January 1, 2012, are required to complete Open Meetings Act training within one year of that date. Board members taking office after January 1, 2012, must complete this training no later than 90 days after taking the oath of office. The following District 35 Board of Education members completed the Open Meetings Act Training:

- Melissa Estes
- Kelly Glauberman
- Jean Hahn
- Gary Ruben
- Ashley Kain Silver



Board members who are elected after June 13, 2011, or who are appointed to fill a vacancy of at least one year’s duration after June 13, 2011; must complete Professional Development Leadership training by June 13, 2012, or within the first year of the board member’s first term. This training includes education and labor law, financial oversight and accountability, and fiduciary responsibilities. The following District 35 Board of Education members completed the Professional Development Leadership training:

Student Immunization Data

Public Act 97-0910 requires the school district to make student immunization data available each year on the District web site. School districts are currently required to submit this information to the Illinois State Board of Education on an annual basis. The following is a summary of the District 35 student immunization data for the 2015-2016 school year:
